Your dog loves to be social with other dogs and people, but leaving the TV on when you leave is just not enough. Even when it’s Animal Planet.
You know your dog is stressed or lonely when you leave for work. His attempts to get you to stay home have progressed in intensity.
When you return home (from work – library duty – carpool etc.), you’re unimpressed with your dog’s attempts to redecorate your home.
You never thought you’d be telling people that your dog is “housebreaking challenged”?
When you return home, your dog is happy to see you and energized from his long day of storing up his energy. Guess who is going to be his playmate all night?
Your neighbors have mentioned that they can hear your dog “talking” during the day. All day. Constantly.
You’d love to know that while you were out of the house your dog was being exercised, mentally challenged, played with and loved so that you wouldn’t have to worry about him. Or worry about when you were going to be able to fit in “play with the dog” on your after work To Do list.
What We’re Going To Do To Fix Everything
Kathy Santo’s Daycare (or "Playcare") program is just the ticket for your human/dog relationship!
Our program is designed to enrich your dog’s social skills as well as provide an outlet for his excess energy in a supervised, safe environment.
Our staff is knowledgeable and specifically trained in dog body language and dog behavior, so we know when dogs are having fun, and when they need a break. This is an important distinction to be able to make. Over tired dogs can become stressed out, grumpy, and agitated, so we make sure that doesn’t happen. After a little “down time” with a peanut butter filled Kong, everyone is happy to play again.
Daycare is ONLY open to current students of Kathy Santo Dog Training, ensuring that we know each and every dog’s strengths and weaknesses. This allows us to give your dog the most positive and fun experience possible. To achieve that goal:
All dogs are supervised during their playtimes.
Playgroups are designed to meet each dog’s social and size needs.
SAFE toys and play equipment is provided.
In addition to playgroups, each dog is individually played with and walked.
“Nap Time” is a chance to give the dog a rest to prevent over tired/rough play. Over stimulated/over tired dogs don’t always make good interaction choices.
Water, snacks and bedding are provided.
All dogs are current on their vaccinations.

Play and Train Program AKA "The Fast Track Program."
We know you’re busy!
Training can be added with Kathy or Stacey for an additional fee.
We can make faster progress because we’ve been training dogs for 30+ years. We can help your dog through the learning process without the confusion and frustration that the dogs sometimes feel when their owner is training them.
Your dog will respond to YOU (not just us), because we teach you how to maintain all the progress we’ve made. PLUS - because your dog is at our facility all day, he’s interacting with our entire staff, which means he’s learning to respond to other people’s commands. That’s a big plus when you have kids, a spouse, a dog walker, and houseguests all needing the dog to "listen" to a command.
In addition, we can see tendencies - fear, stress, aggression – before most owners do, and we can respond instantly to prevent them from becoming long-term behavioral issues.
